Who we are
making a positive impact to our community
LiveWell PG is a volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing community living in the north. We are committed to making a positive impact to our community, and we are constantly seeking new opportunities to do so. We understand the unique challenges of living in the north, and collaborate to fill the needs of our community through events and community projects and programs.
We believe that we can make a real difference to living well in the north, and we look forward to continuing our work in the years to come.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA)
We’re proud of the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) results we’ve achieved since creating Live Well Prince George Society. Like keeping our goals in mind while we develop and implement projects, programs and special events.
What we do
Enhancing community living in the north
At LiveWell PG we are passionate about advocating, supporting, and encouraging the development of community events and projects in and around the Prince George area. We provide various services and programs including in Art, Music, Culture, Recreation, and host special events and workshops in education, health, wellness, and recreation.
In addition, we collaborate with other non-profits and organizations to promote the full participation and contribution of all people in all aspects of life. Our ultimate goal is to create a sense of belonging and connectedness to support a healthy and vibrant community.
LiveWell PG started off as a community group passionate about living in the North. After many years, we officially registered as a non-profit society to service the Northern BC communities. In 2017, we became the Thrifty Friends Society. We established, managed, and supported an all-volunteer Thrift Store that serviced the Regional Fort George Area and the city of Prince George. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the thrift store had to close. Despite this setback, we remained committed to making a positive impact on our community.
In a new path to continue our great work supporting our communities, on August 30, 2020, we rebranded ourselves as the Live Well Prince George Society and have since continued to offer services, programs, and events to our community
